The tools and calculators

Everything here — board feet, wood movement, cutting board cut lists, Gridfinity bins — is an estimate built from standard formulas and reference data. Wood is a natural material and your table saw doesn't read our website, so measure twice, cut once, and use your own judgment before committing good lumber to any number you got from a browser.

The wiki and guides

Species data, tool specs, and technique write-ups are researched in good faith from public references, but we're not liable for errors, and this isn't a substitute for your tool's actual manual or your own safety training. Power tools can hurt you; read the manual, wear the eye protection, keep your fingers where you can see them.
